Melissa G. Morgan, D.O.

Lancaster Gastroenterology, Inc. (LGI) welcomes Melissa Morgan, D.O. to its growing team of physicians. The addition of Dr. Morgan brings LGI's total trusted care providers to seventeen. Dr. Morgan is the singular female physician on the team to help better serve our patient needs.

Dr. Morgan graduated magna cum laude and received her B.A. in Biology from LaSalle University. She earned her degree as Doctor of Osteopathy at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in the top five percent of her class.

She completed both her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Morgan contributed to several articles concerning the use of proton pump inhibitors and their subsequent effects on cellular junctions and absorption of minerals such as zinc. She presented abstracts at Digestive Disease Week and the American College of Gastroenterology's Annual Scientific Meeting. She is also active in many professional organizations including the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Morgan has a special interest in women's health and inflammatory bowel disease.
